A celebration of the music of The Eagles at Sydney Olympic Park

Thirty years ago, teenagers clad in skin-tight hotpants and maxi platform heels rocked to the rhythms of 'Hotel California', 'Best of My Love' and 'One of These Nights'. In 2009, while the hotpants and platforms may have given way to pipe-legs and stilettos, musical history is set to repeat itself at Sydney Olympic Park.
On Saturday February 28th, vintage rock fans, young admirers, music history buffs, modern day rockers, parents, teenagers, friends and family will come together to celebrate the music of best-selling US band, The Eagles.
One of These Nights: A Celebration of the Music of the Eagles will see six of Australia's best musicians come together in The Overflow to perform the hits of one of the greatest rock 'n roll bands in history. The FREE outdoor concert will feature live performances by Kevin Bennett (The Flood), Simon Meli (Ooh la la), Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Natasha Stuart (Ricki-Lee), Daniel Mifsud (Australia Idol) and Danielle Blakey.
In the course of their career, The Eagles have had five #1 singles and six #1 albums; they have won five Grammy Awards, held the position of best selling album in the US and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Museum Hall of Fame. This summer at the Sydney Olympic Park Music by Moonlight concert series, some of Australia's best musicians will play homage to such amazing achievements, performing various covers of The Eagles top selling tracks.
The Music by Moonlight concert series is a FREE annual event held during February at Sydney Olympic Park's The Overflow. Concluding in 2009 with the One of These Nights: A Celebration of the Music of The Eagles on Saturday February 28th, the event is suitable for audiences of all ages. Music lovers are encouraged to pack a picnic blanket or low chairs and get to the venue early to enjoy the free music under the stars. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 6pm and the main entertainment will commence at 8pm.
