Sydney Symphony under the stars - Valentine’s romance at Sydney Olympic Park

While flowers may smell sweet, and a blue Tiffany’s box will never go astray, nothing beats the romance of a mesmerising music masterpiece and a picnic under the stars.
   
This Valentine’s Day, Sydney Olympic Park is giving couples the chance to experience timeless romance at Love Music with your Sydney Symphony for FREE. As the sun sets and stars shine bright for Music by Moonlight on Saturday February 14th, The Overflow at Sydney Olympic Park will be filled with hypnotic harmonies from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. As a tribute to loved-up couples picnicking in the Park, this 70-piece ensemble will be performing a range of the most popular, romantic and legendary classical pieces from some of the world’s musical greats.

“There is nothing quite like the romance of The Overflow when it is lit up by starlight,” said Leah Tasker, Executive Manager of Marketing at Sydney Olympic Park Authority. “With the Sydney Symphony melodies forming a perfect acoustic backdrop, it truly is an ideal location for a Valentine’s Day picnic.”

The Music by Moonlight concert series is a FREE event taking place over four Saturday nights in February. The Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be playing at the ‘Love Music’ themed night on Saturday February 14th. Food and beverages will be available from 6pm and the main entertainment will commence at 8pm.
