Sydney Olympic Park will become a Mecca for lovers of cheese and all things dairy when renowned cheese specialist, Lynne Tietzel brings the milky rich flavours of the world’s most savoured cheese varieties to the Boulevard Market on Sunday, April 29.
With the theme of the April market being ‘Say Cheese! Cooking with Dairy,’ Lynne will provide expert advice on how to prepare, preserve and enjoy local and internationally produced gourmet cheeses.
Using simple and delicious recipes, Lynne will be revealing how to use the fulsome flavours of cheeses like Eden, Parmesan, Camembert, Gruyere and Brie to enhance any meal in three cooking demonstrations at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. There will also be cheese tastings and even lessons in cheese making.
With a vast knowledge of everything from Haloumi to Camembert, Parmesan and Brie, Lynne Tietzel is a true cheese connoisseur. Having recently been inducted into the Sydney Magazine’s Food Hall of Fame, she is widely recognised in the industry for her well-developed food palate and pioneering dairy products.
In 1995, Lynne founded Australia on a Plate, with Kangaroo Island Haloumi and yoghurts her specialty. Having rapidly expanded over the years, Australia on a Plate is now a serious competitor in the Sydney market, offering a large variety of gourmet cheeses from across the world.
For one Sunday every month, Sydney Olympic Park is transformed into a themed marketplace with a range of vibrant attractions and a colourful line-up of food, fashionable homewares and fun that will both entertain and educate.
While parents are served some creative cooking ideas, the kids will be kept entertained with FREE arts and crafts at ‘Kids’ Kitchen Capers.’
So bring the whole family along to the Boulevard Market between 9.00am and 2.00pm on Sunday, April 29 and enjoy a day of free dairy delights!
